MP3 players and Avanti's

Yesterday was a phenomenal Labor Day. The Ginge wanted to go to Best Buy and trade in the laptop he had purchased just recently. (Nothing was really wrong with it, he just wasn't satisfied with it. I had my theory that it just wasn't techie enough.) He ended up trading it in for a new iPad, with some extra moolah left over in store credit. He bought me a new MP3 player (since my old one is only 2 gigs and on its last leg) and the auxiliary cord for it. How sweet is that?!?! And I can tell you, it cost a pretty penny! 8 gigs and I've uploaded only half...I still have over 3.9 gigs left to fill!!!!! He knew I had had my eye on this particular model for a long time. Not only that, but once secured and home, he even helped me figure out how to load the music onto it. (I'm not that much of a nitwitt. I know how to load music onto an MP3 player. I just didn't know you had to go through your computer's harddrive before the player would accept it. ...O.k.....Maybe I am a nitwitt. But, hey - you live, you learn, then you get Luvs!)
I am SUPER happy with this MP3 player! Not that anyone even reads this blog, anyway, but if you happened to stumble upon it (because you obviously have nothing better to do) and are looking to upgrade your current media player, I would definitely recommend the Sandisk Sansa Fuze. Unlike an iPod, MP3 players allow you to take music off once you no longer want it on the player. ((*So you're not stuck with Raffi's greatest hits for the rest of your adult life. :/ ))
After all that shopping, I treated to Avanti's (delicious little Italian restaurant in Illinois that serves great food for cheap! We're talking, enough food for two days and drinks and salad and bread and the total meal for two people comes out to $14.00), which was - as always - wundebar!
The rest of the night we spent in techie connubial bliss, taking things out of boxes and fiddling with wires and cussing at little, bitty, bytes and bits. Such fun!
About to test drive the auxiliary cord on my way to work. Wish me luck! :)
