Windy, White world

Winter is the season for vata (literally "wind" in Sanskrit) the element or energy associated with wind. At this time of year, you can see the toll that the cold, dry wind is taking on everything - trees, plants, animals...Even ourselves! As eskimo people shove and argue in line at the "doorbusters supersale" (tis the season! ;) ), yoga might be the last thing on your mind. With only 28 shopping days left till Christmas!?!?!?!? But now is the time when yoga would be most beneficial to your already stressed-out body. Yoga not only warms the body up, but also keeps all your digestive juices flowing, to help with those post-holiday-binge-gastro-intestinal-regrets.

Here's a warming, vata-loving sequence to keep you supple and warm in the coming months.

"The light in me salutes the light in you"

~Namaste~
