Begger gloves!

I made a pair of fingerless begger gloves several years ago, which my husband loves. So I made him a pair of his very own. This has to be the quick and dirtiest, simplest, and otherwise easiest pattern I have ever come across.

US size 9 needles (straight)
CO 40 (for medium sized hands)
knit 8, tw2* cont till end of row
perl wrongside

Continue until piece measures from wrist to knuckles. BO. Sew up the side (lengthways) with mattress stitch. Sew a little seam between the thumb and the forefinger, to create a thumb hole.

Viola!

Enjoy!
