Family matters

Nathan and I are heading up to Saginaw area Michigan this weekend for the Renaissance festival in Holly. I can't wait! I plan my entire year around this! It's so much fun. It's become a family tradition. My brother and sister-in-law even come down form Milkwaukee and we all dress up...It's tons of fun.
This year, it's Nathan's first year. It's also his first time meeting my big brother. And though my big brother doesn't have that protective instinct (probably because during the later years he really wasn't around a whole lot....Plus I didn't live with them full-time, soo.....) and he's really nice and Nath gets along well with everyone, I still have the slightest twinge of nervousness about his meeting more family that he hasn't met, yet. What if they don't like each other? I know they'll get along well...I had this same unnecessary nervousness right before he met my dad and step mum and the rest of the Byron clan. I think it's just one of those things that is totally natural, but still completely irrational.
Either way, I'm super excited and can't wait until Saturday! (Or, at the very least, tomorrow morning, when we'll arrive at Dad's house.)
