Writing every day for a year

My little sister, who is a genius and a profound artist, does this thing where she draws something EVERY SINGLE DAY so that she stays in shape artistically and is able to build her skills. I would like to write but, truth be told, I suck. I suck big-time. So I'm going to work really hard and improve what little talent I have. I'll divide the year into chunks of months by themes. For instance, the first month (August) will be poetry. The next month or two will be short stories. Then, finally, having worked up to the last month of chapters. Chapters that will eventually - goddess willing! - make up a book. A, no doubt, shitty book. But a book nonetheless. Then I can say that I have done it before and can do it again, and maybe next time the book will be something really good. Something worth reading and trying to sell. We shall see.
