Friday is a day of endless possibilities

I always find Fridays bristling with opportunities, don't you? "What shall I do at weekend? Hmm... I could sit around, or lounge, or do something, or go somewhere... etc." It's all very liberating to sit and imagine what you could be doing in just a few short hours.

This weekend looks like it's going to be jam-packed with social obligations. Dinner with the inlaws tonight (I think), and a possible get-together with an old friend tomorrow. In between social engagements we need to get groceries, do laundry, do dishes, vacuum, and a plethora of other home-body duties we usually don't have time for during the week.

This busy schedule doesn't even take into account the sedentary activities I will be doing whilst at rest. That blanket for a friend I thought I was almost done with? Yeah... No.... I laid it out last night and found that I was maybe halfway done, not almost done, as I had thought. I still have to make about 15-20 more squares. Yikes! I'd better get crackin if I want to finish it this weekend! I got so discouraged when I saw that, that I had to set the blanket aside and make something else for that evening. So I ended up making this!:

It's a pencil pot cozy! I'm quite proud of it, though I didn't get a chance to embellish it as much as I had wanted to. (Someday I will add buttons!)

As I sit here and contemplate the heavenly weekend before me, with my green tea (tea at work is something that I have caught on to this past week. I'm not sure why, but it is infinitely comforting), I cannot wait to start it!

P.S. I've lost about three-five pounds since last post, and I really feel great! I feel clean and light, and not laden with heavy foods. Only about 1100 calories a day, but I am never hungry. This is a really great plan, so far! Just FYI, for all you petite ladies out there. ;)
