Not long ago, I made a list. A list of things I would like to change or improve about myself. That kinda sorta led to the list of things I need to do just for myself, to keep the insanity at bay. On that list was a mani/pedi. Which is what I did today.
Omg it was so much fun! I went with my friend Genevieve (I know, cool name, right?). We met in the parking lot so we could face the Asian awkwardness together. The language barrier was a bit of an issue, but not too much. Mostly we just sat and giggled at the fact that people were touching our feet and laughing at us in Vietnamese. I like how my nails turned out, though she took umbrage at how hers were dealt with. My nails keep splitting, though, so it's a bit of an issue. The lady told me how to fix it, though, so that's pretty good.
Anywho, it was a bit more expensive than I thought it would be, and my hobbit feet were definitely the subject of much Vietnamese tittilation (shit got real when the lady working on my feet broke out the - for realz - cheese grater), but I found it was a great experience! Lots of fun, and kind of a self-asteem boost. (Although, doing just about anything with the Gennivizzle is a self-asteem boost.)
love you
